Black Lager

Aroma Memory Tap: This beer smelled like... wheat. This is more of a flavor memory tap. It reminds me of watching Chef Scott Foster make poblano pepper paste.

Head Thickness: Fat & Fluffy. Slowly recedes.

Head Color: Parchment Paper.

Beer Color: Really Dark Brown. Looks like rootbeer. You can see through it when it's held up to the light.

Taste: The initial taste was of roasted poblano peppers... kind of a chocolaty flavored... roasted not spicy. This thick & creamy lager is smooth with lots of coffee flavor and not bitter.

After Taste: Roasted Coffee. Your mouth salivates and then gets really dry.

IBU's: NA

Hops: Bramling Cross Hops

Calories: NA

Carbs: NA

Fat: NA

Special Notes:
This bottom fermented German beer would taste great with strawberries or creamy desserts. It is now retired. Look for Buzzards Bay new line up of Green American beers, "Just Beer".
